The terms that apply when you use the Gamepad Tester tools and blog: what the browser-based tests cover, what they do not, and how the content may be used.

1. Acceptance
By using Gamepad Tester you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the site.
2. What the service is
Gamepad Tester provides free, browser-based diagnostic tools for game controllers, together with a written blog. The tools run entirely on your device using the HTML5 Gamepad API. No account is required and no payment is taken.
3. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- attempt to disrupt, overload, or gain unauthorised access to the site or the systems that serve it
- scrape or republish the site's content at scale without permission
- present results from this tool as an official certification, warranty assessment, or manufacturer statement
- use the site in any way that breaks applicable law
4. Intellectual property
The site's written content, design, original schematic illustrations, wordmark and diagnostic code are owned by Gamepad Tester unless stated otherwise. You may quote short extracts with attribution and a link. You may not reproduce whole pages or redistribute the tool as your own.
Third-party product names are the trademarks of their respective owners and are used here descriptively only.
5. Availability
We aim to keep the site available but do not guarantee uninterrupted access. Features may change or be withdrawn. Browser support for the Gamepad API is outside our control, and a browser update can change what the tools are able to read.
6. No professional advice
The tools and blog posts are informational. They are not a substitute for professional repair, manufacturer support, or a warranty process. See the disclaimer for the specific limits of what a browser-based test can establish.
7. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Gamepad Tester is not liable for indirect or consequential loss, damage to hardware, lost data, or costs arising from decisions you make based on the site's output — including decisions to buy, sell, repair, or dispose of a controller.
8. Privacy
Use of the site is also governed by the privacy policy. In short: your controller data never leaves your browser.
9. Changes
These terms may be updated. Material changes will be reflected in the effective date above, and continued use after a change means you accept the revised terms.
